THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. I'd like to spend more time with my best friends, in an out of the digital world. I'd like to know that... I'm accepted and that people can still enjoy company, even when I feel distant and like I'm enjoyable to anyone. I hate pushing people away, so I really want to see my rings and nails. (Symbolism ftw?) I've been scrounging around and scraping to find a job, so I can send them things. I have a current total of... 8 dollars. Yeah, not gonna get much. I just want for them to enjoy Christmas, too, so I'm trying to find things so they can enjoy it as well.

2. This sounds so stupid, and so childish. I want to spend one or more nights with my friends, pchatting, oCing, drawing and enjoying myself. I don't want moods ruined or anything, and I don't want to ruin it myself. I'd like gift art, yeah, but who doesn't? I can't do much for them but I really would like to reconnect or even get to be better friends with those who know me through this.

3. I really, really, really, REALLY want to get the hell out of my house.

4. I said this last year, but I'd adore a small package (sent in a note, or through mail) with little gifts or funny things that remind you guys of me. Or that you'd think I'd like. I enjoy people making me things, not for the gift being present so 'nicely wrapped' but that you took your time to think of me.

5. I want to see my love, who isn't on this site. I really want to sit at Arrowhead Mall with him and simply sit around or browse stores with him, hand in hand. I'd love a movie or even going to a race track or to a bar with him. I just want to see him Christmas day.

6. Like last year, I really, really love trance/techno/dance/happy trance/etc. I'd like some from out of the U.S., possibly in CDs.

7. Cross-stitch pattern programs, if anyone finds any for free, I would love to hear about/get them. I'm trying my hand back at them, and plan on using them for special gifts I could possibly send out.

8. Uhmm.. 8... God I don't know. *laugh* Maybe something... for me? It's all been about a few things to do for others... I'd like some jewelry or some art. I don't care what it is, just that.. you took time for me. That's what matters most. rofl.

9. Haha, 9th is the lowest on this for reasons unknown. I'd really like to get back in gear with clubs and work on stuff, but most of all I want to re-open or get a good thing groovin' with .

10. I'd like to find some way to thank everyone who's stuck by me, so I suppose number 10 is saying 'thank you' for all he beautiful things you people have given me. in more correct terms, I want your fucking lists.
